With a win over Atlanta on May 24th the Sky jumped out to a 4-0 start, the best in franchise history.
Rookie guard Jamierra Faulkner earned the first start of her WNBA career on July 1st against the Sparks. She took full advantage of the opportunity scoring 27 points to lead the Sky to a 90-83 victory in LA.
On June 6th, Elena Delle Donne delivered 33 points and 14 rebounds at Allstate Arena, setting the WNBA record for the most consecutive free throws without a miss by going 16-for-16 from the line.
On May 30th, at Allstate Arena, Courtney Vandersloot set the franchise single-game assist record with 13 assists against Connecticut, notching her third consecutive 10+ assist performance of the season.
Sky forward, and cancer survivor, Jessica Breland set career highs in nearly every statistical category to earn a spot on the 2014 Eastern Conference All-Star team.
Sky guard Allie Quigley named 2014 WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year presented by Samsung.
With an 80-77 win over Atlanta in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals the Sky recorded their first playoff win in franchise history
"The Comeback Game" Sky win Game 3 in Atlanta becoming first team in WNBA playoff history to win a game after trailing by at least 16 points at the end of the third quarter. Elena Delle Donne scored a career-high 34 points, including the game-winning shot with 8.2 seconds remaining to help the Sky secure an 81-80 victory.
In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Sky defeated the Fever 75-62 to become Eastern Conference Champions. With the win, the Sky earned its first WNBA Finals berth in franchise history.
On September 12, the Sky brought Chicago its first ever WNBA Finals -- without a doubt, the greatest moment in 2014!
